What we collect
- Account data: email, optional name, and authentication records.
- Property data you enter: property name, state, acreage, target species, boundaries, excluded areas, waypoints, stands, cameras and journal entries.
- Uploaded images: property photos and trail camera photos.
- Derived data: terrain and land-cover analyses, movement corridors, weather snapshots and AI analysis results.
- Operational logs: AI request counts and timings used for rate limits and costs.
How we use it
Your data is used only to generate your property analyses and to operate the app. Property locations, boundaries, photos and journal entries are private to your account and are not sold, shared with other hunters, or used for advertising.
Third-party processing
To produce analyses we send limited data to service providers: property coordinates to public mapping, elevation, land-cover and weather services (USGS, Copernicus, Open-Meteo, map tile providers), and property/trail-camera images plus property summaries to our AI provider. Hosting, database, storage and authentication run on our managed cloud infrastructure. Providers process this data on our behalf and are not permitted to sell it.
Cookies and analytics
StandOut Hunting IQ stores a login session token in your browser so you stay signed in. That is required for the app to work. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics profiling in the beta; basic aggregate usage and error diagnostics may be collected to keep the app stable.
Retention, export and deletion
Data is kept while your account exists. You can export everything as JSON, or permanently delete your account, photos and all property data from Account settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Security
Data is protected by per-user database access rules so one hunter cannot read another hunter's property data, and images are stored in private buckets accessed with short-lived signed links. No system is perfectly secure; do not store sensitive personal information in notes fields.
